Overview

The Ambora Orbit™ is a mid century modern hanging lamp built around
hand-blown glass, designed to bring color and shape to a dining room,
kitchen, study or café.

Unlike a bare bulb hanging on a cord, the Orbit™ gives the bulb a shade
worth looking at. A flat colored disc sits above the bulb and pushes the
light down onto the table below, and a ribbed glass band beneath it breaks
up the light that passes through.

Perfect over a dining table, above a kitchen island, in a study, or beside
a bed as a hanging bedside light.

The cord adjusts from 51 to 55 inches during installation, so you set the
hanging height rather than accepting it — 30 to 36 inches above a dining
table on a standard 8-foot ceiling.

Bulb Recommendation

The bulb is not included, and it changes how the fixture reads. For the
look in the photos, use a globe-shaped E27 LED bulb in a warm white. A
standard household bulb will screw in and work, but it will sit differently
under the shade.

Care

Dust the glass with a dry microfiber cloth.
For fingerprints, wipe with a slightly damp cloth and dry immediately.
Switch the fixture off and let the bulb cool fully before cleaning.
Do not use abrasive cleaners or submerge any part of the fixture.

Materials

Hand-Blown Glass Shade
Blown at high temperature rather than moulded, which gives every piece its
own character. Small bubbles, specks and light marks at the cut edges are
normal and vary from piece to piece.

Ribbed Glass Band
A fluted band sits below the colored disc, catching and breaking up the
light that passes through it.

Painted Metal Hardware
The ceiling mount, lamp holder and retaining ring are painted metal, with
an adjustable cord that shortens to suit your ceiling height.
